Thawing your pack
OPTION 1: You can leave your pack to thaw at room temperature for about 30 to 45 minutes.
OPTION 2: If you’re going to enjoy it first thing in the morning, pull the pack from the freezer right before bed and leave it in the fridge overnight.
OPTION 3: Pull your Blended pack from the freezer and run it under warm water for 60-90 seconds.
OPTION 4: Leave the pack sitting in a cup of warm water for a couple of minutes to let it soften (if you’re likely to forget about it, skip this step because more than a few minutes may soften too much).
Blending your pack
Cut open the top of your partially thawed pack and empty the contents into your blender (the smoothie puck should slide easily out of pack).
Add ½ cup of coconut milk and ½ cup of cold water* (adjust to your preferred smoothie thickness and taste). Blend well.
*A note on liquids: We recommend regular or unsweetened coconut milk and cold water for blending. Almond milk will work with the smoothies that have nutty flavour profiles (even some berry ones), but we don’t recommend almond milk with the green and tropical flavoured smoothies, unless you know that’s your thing.
On the go!
Sometimes we eat Blended straight from the pack, because life gets really busy and we just can’t wait. Tear the partially thawed pack open, grab a spoon* and go to town.
*A note on spoons: There is some contention over whether a dessert spoon or a teaspoon is preferable. The “desserters” contend that if time is an issue, obviously you can get more in with fewer spoonsful. The counter-argument is that smoothies are beverages and, thusly, merit a beverage spoon.
